Training features

Run the course without losing the person

Plan courses, fill the room, check people in, assess them and follow up afterwards — with the same learners you already know.

A learner’s week should be one story, not four systems

Afanor takes the diary, the people in the seats, the quiz they sit and the reminder that follows, and keeps them with the same learner.

Plan the diary properly

Build a reusable course and agenda, then put dates on the calendar with trainers, rooms and how many seats you have — with a warning if something is already booked.

Let learners take part

They check themselves in, and sit the quiz that belongs to the qualification they are working towards.

Finish what the session started

Attendance, results and evidence stay with the person. Reminders go out before an award runs out.

A course, calendar, trainer, venue and learner group connected through a delivery workflow.

A closer look

What training looks like day to day

These are the parts of the job your team can put to work straight away — focused on outcomes, not entity lists.

Courses and learner plans

Turn a qualification and a learner’s goal into something you can run again next month.

  • Run the same course again next month without rebuilding the agenda
  • Tie each course to the qualification it delivers
  • Keep each learner’s goal, pathway and target date in one plan

Dates, trainers and rooms

See the clash before it ruins the morning, not after two groups arrive at the same door.

  • See clashes before two groups arrive at the same door
  • Month, week and day views of the live diary
  • Hold spaces, enrol learners, take walk-ins and see places remaining

Check-in when they arrive

Collect the truth at the door, then let staff decide what is saved.

  • Cut queues at reception — learners confirm who they are and which session they are here for
  • Staff review every change before it reaches live records
  • Mark learners present once the request is verified

Quizzes and results

Assess people as part of the course, not in a separate quiz tool that nobody else can see.

  • Assess learners as part of the course — not in a separate tool
  • Set a pass mark, time limit and attempt limit that match your standard
  • Review answers and pass rates to improve teaching

Renewal reminders

Write before an award lapses, without someone remembering to open the spreadsheet.

  • Schedules that send days, weeks or months before expiry
  • Personalised email and text, with a history of what was sent
  • A letter if nothing digital gets through, ready to print and post

Evidence and the learner portal

Keep the paperwork with the person, and give learners a door into their own quizzes.

  • Find proof when someone asks — documents stay with the learner
  • Review and verify uploads before they count
  • Learners sit eligible quizzes and see results in the portal

How it works

Training as part of the wider journey

Each step stays with the same people, so the next person to pick up the work is not starting from an empty page.

1

Plan

Set the pathway, the course, the agenda and a diary that notices clashes.

2

Deliver

Fill the seats, check people in and run the assessment.

3

Follow through

Keep the results, then write before the award runs out.

Built for the team

Useful for every role around the learner

Administrators, trainers and support staff keep their own work, without losing sight of the same person.

Training administrators

Run the diary, the seats and the reminders from one view of the week.

Trainers and delivery teams

See who is coming, where you are teaching and what they already hold.

Operations managers

Know what is planned, what happened, and where follow-up is still open.

What this changes

Less time rebuilding the picture

Training sits with the rest of the week’s work, so you are not rebuilding the picture in another spreadsheet.

  • Fewer double-booked rooms, overfull sessions and names that do not match the register.
  • Learners confirm their own details instead of reception retyping them.
  • Assessments stay with the course, so results are not exported into another tracker.
  • Renewal follow-up happens on a schedule, with a letter if email and text fail.
  • Attendance, evidence, awards and reminders sit with the same person.

Getting started

Bring your process with you

We help you move across from the lists and trackers you already use, and set Afanor up around how your organisation actually works.

Discuss onboarding

Frequently asked questions

Can we run the same course more than once?

Yes. The course holds the qualification, the usual size, how long it takes and the agenda. Each date then has its own timetable, trainers, room and learners.

What do learners do at check-in?

They say who they are, confirm or correct their details, choose today’s session, review or declare qualifications, and can give a vehicle registration if the centre asks. Staff approve changes before anything is saved.

What happens if a reminder cannot be delivered?

If you have letter fallback switched on, and email or text cannot reach them, Afanor prepares a personalised letter. You can download it, or send it for colour printing and posting.

How do learners get a quiz?

A published quiz belongs to a qualification. Learners who are enrolled or checked in on a course that delivers that qualification see it in their portal, up to the attempt limit you set.

Can trainers see more than a score?

Yes. They can see attempts, scores, whether the learner passed, how long it took and the answers themselves. You can limit trainers to the dates they are assigned to.

What sits next to training

These parts of Afanor share the same people, so you are not starting again in another tool.

CRM

One place to know every learner

Stop keeping people in one spreadsheet and employers in another. Afanor holds who they are, how to reach them, and what still needs doing.

Qualifications

Know what they hold — and when it runs out

Set up awarding bodies and the rules that go with each award, then keep learner achievements, evidence and expiry together.

Communications

Write at the right time — and share the inbox

Remind people before a qualification lapses. On Scale, incoming email and texts land with the team instead of one person’s mailbox.
